Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has increased its market share in India by opening its first PlayStation-exclusive store in Delhi. Customers will no longer rely entirely on online merchants like Amazon, Flipkart, Reliance Digital, and other offline locations to purchase PlayStation consoles, Plus memberships, and well-known game titles. Accordingly, Rishi Alwani shares the news, demonstrating Sony’s dedication to meeting the country’s growing demand for gaming by offering a simple and convenient purchasing process for players.

PlayStation, along with other console brands, is actively working on establishing a strong presence in various countries by engaging with the local gaming communities. Sony, in particular, has been trying to catch the attention of the growing gaming audience in India, which is a strategic move considering the increasing popularity of gaming in India.

Sony seems to have joined forces with a third-party retailer to establish the first PlayStation Store in India. Reports suggest that DT Zone is the official partner for Sony’s offline store. Images of the new store, shared by Alwani, reveal that it is already operational in Punjabi Bagh, Delhi. Although details are not fully disclosed, this partnership highlights Sony’s strategic approach to expanding its presence in the Indian market and providing gamers with a dedicated physical store for gaming.

PlayStation has been actively engaging with the gaming community in India through various promotional events, including showcasing a giant-sized PlayStation 5 model and a Mjölnir model at Cyberhub in Gurugram. However, Sony’s efforts to capture the Indian gaming market are not slowing down, as the company has now opened a dedicated PlayStation-only store in the country. In conclusion, This move highlights Sony’s commitment to growing its presence in India and catering to the growing demand for gaming by providing a dedicated retail space for gamers to access PlayStation products and experiences.
