Sony’s PlayStation officially announced the free games available for PlayStation Plus subscribers in May 2023. The confirmation follows a recent leak that revealed the upcoming titles.
PlayStation Plus subscribers across all three tiers will be able to get their hands on three exciting games. These games will be available for free to all PlayStation Plus members from May 2.
Racing enthusiasts should try out Grid Legends, released in 2022 and is the fifth instalment in the Grid series by Codemasters. Grid Legends offers a unique cinematic story mode, cross-platform multiplayer, and a creation suite that allows you to make your own tracks. It’s a great game for both hardcore racing fans and casual gamers, as it is a hybrid arcade-simulation racer with customizable settings. The PS5 and PS4 versions of Grid Legends will both be available to download for free.
For extreme sports lovers, Descenders is a must-play game in May. The game features downhill cycling and a simple objective: bike fast, very fast. Descenders boast procedurally generated tracks that keep gameplay fresh, and your bike also has special permutations that utilize roguelike systems. The game is great whether you play solo or with friends online. It’s also an easy game to get into, but it takes time to master its unique style.
Chivalry 2, on the other hand, is a totally different kind of multiplayer game. Players take on the role of medieval warriors in large-scale battles with up to 64 players. Played from a first-person perspective, Chivalry 2 is a fast-paced and brutal game with over 30 different weapons, a diverse class and sub-class system, and mounts.
